Politeness… The long forgotten attribute. Usually coming along with many other disregarded attitudes in our own little supposedly street tough world of wood pushing. Well, this is the very first thing that comes to mind when I think of Claude. Every time… It goes down to the first phone calls we’ve exchanged, before actually going to shoot this Shine On. We had been briefly introduced by a mutual friend once, when I started getting messages from a Claude using the most polite way to ask to “maybe meet to go shoot a photo when and if I had time, but only if I wanted…” I swear there was a sir in his first message! So, for good week or two I was positive this was someone I did not know, and that was rather shy, who happened to get a hold of my number. Keep in mind I have a very bad memory for names… We finally spoke and I came to realize the humble voice belonged to that one kid that was the talk on the streets. From then, I was a fan. We’ve going around Paris a few times since, and Claude has always been a stand out of the session, with his quiet behavior, his sharp tre flip and positive outlook. Always ready to go whenever he’s not at school studying the fine art of cooking —his other passion in life— this kid is focusing on the good thing of his life and I believe one day I might end up calling him sir…
