Phil Zwijsen Slept On- Kingpin 57

Every single time I’ve seen Phil skate he was going for it one hundred percent. His skating is characterized by pushing it full throttle. As is sometimes the case, the effort he puts into skating made his skating look pretty effortless. He’s not the guy that looks like he’s sleeping on the board but he lands hard tricks all the time and it looks all normal. Sure enough, people took notice. That, and skating hard while working shitty jobs eventually got him where he is now: living and skating in Barcelona and traveling across Europe backed by his mother, friends and some solid sponsors. (Carhartt , DC shoes , Lockwood skateshop , Element, and Transind distribution.)
On that account Phil would like to thank some people. “Lars and Julian at Carhartt, my mother and Davy Van Laere for trusting in me. Gay shit, I know (laughs)”
He’s laughing about it but really he’s just being honest. He wanted to be sponsored by some good companies and travel across Europe and now that he is he wants to say thanks to the people that believed he could do that. Enough about the stairway to Barcelona, though. For now, let us amuse you with random facts about Phil.
He used to have a Ford Fiesta. (awkward silence) Oh yeah, he had some spinning rims on that thing.
