The Nike SB squad consisting of Brad Staba, Stefan Janoski, Lewis Marnell and Matt Beach are stopping by in Helsinki for a few days with Simo Makela as their spot guide and fluffy haired mascot. They won’t do demos or signings or any of that, just enjoy the streets and gather some footage with newly appointed filmer Jason Hernandez and photos with John Humphries. Yesterday looked like a productive start with sunny skies and fresh legs. Today the weather isn’t quite as promising, so it might be a bit more chilling oriented. In a few days, the dudes will be going on their separate ways, Lewis on to Sweden to visit family and friends, Matt and Stefan onto Germany with some reinforcements, and God Almighty only knows where the road might takes Brad Staba. Possibly back home to work on pouring a big three out of concrete and carrying the weight of Skatemental on his shoulders. Speaking of which, Brad’s saying there will be a new promo video out from Skatemental in September, featuring parts from the am squad and a few tricks each from the pro roster. 5 bucks a pop in Cali, so we can only assume it’ll cost about 25 euros by the time it lands on these shores and everyone’s taken their cut. Probably works out cheaper to get a flight to New York and buy the thing there. The environment will love it.
