Skate zine’s have been around for as long as skating itself. They have been a core influence in local scenes world wide keeping skaters informed, saying the things that no magazines dare say and using humor to rein in the egos of skaters and industry alike. Some zines have progressed into magazines, some have been compiled and professionally published but most disappear in to distant but fond memories.. Dirty Skate Mags of Yester Yore is a show in San Fransisco celebrating the creativity and importance of local zines.
