Since 2006, date of its first edition, La rue est vers l’image is the most successful skateboarding event in France. This year, the contest is independent and joins forces with Dailymotion. Teams from 1 to 7 skateboarders attended by a cameraman, in the city of their choice, have ten days (from 08/29 to 09/07) to direct and put online a movie from 3 to 5 minutes. Only the internet users judge the movies. The ten first videos are cast in a big movie theater in Paris, during an award ceremony. The contest is opened to any professionals and amateurs. This event is supported from the beginning by personalities like Fred Mortagne and Josh Stewart and by brands like Landscape and Metropolitan.
