What are you working on today, Ricky?
Today? I’m working on the WeSC skate camp. The first camp starts in about week.

So you’re on the last stretch with that?
Yeah, the final calls for that today. I’m stoked, it’ll be a lot of kids there.

Who’s coming to the first camp?
It’s going to be me and Mika (Edin), I think Wieger (van Wageningen) is coming over and some local rippers. It’s more like a pool park, bowls and stuff. Ad Lewis Marnell might be coming over. Nike sponsor the camp as well and he’s on a Nike tour right now.

I think they’re coming to Finland tonight actually.
Yeah that’s what he told me so I thought I’ll just get him to come over here as well.

Who’s been the hardest one to confirm this year?
Oh my God…before it’s always been Ali Boulala and Jerry Hsu. And Gino Ianucci. That’s like the hardest people of all. But now it’s a lot easier because they all know what the skate camp’s about and they pretty much all want to go. And it’s kind of our fault too, because we were kind of late and the whole summer’s full of tours and competitions and everything.

And who have you got so far?
Mmm…Cooper Wilt, Tony Manfre, Wieger, Mark Baines…oh yeah, too bad about Tuukka (Korhonen) he has the (knee) operation right now so he can’t go. And then Love (Eneroth), Mika and Danijel (Todorovic).

I heard Steve Fortsner is in Stockholm right now, saying at Love’s?
He is? Really? Fuckers, they didn’t call me.

Maybe he’s scared to call you cause he quit We.
Haha! Nah, it’s too bad he left, but I’m happy for him—if he gets that kind of a deal (with Analog) he should take it.

Hey how was the Sweden game in Austria?
Oh man…it was so amazing, I was stoked to get tickets for it! I’m really glad everything worked out. At first we didn’t have any flights or hotels or anything and it’s hard to get those like one week before, so I was really lucky that Ingemar (Backman) came a long. He was calling his booking agency guy who helps snowboarders out around that area, so he fixed everything with hotels and flights and stuff. And as a bonus they won!

Were there a lot of Swedes there?
Maybe like 10 000.

I read somewhere that around the game there was load of snus blocking all the public toilets and the Austrians didn’t know what to do with it.
Haha, I can imagine that! I was talking to this bartender and he was saying that the Swedes are the best customers ever, they buy so much and they’re friendly too.

What are you up the rest of the day?
Today? Just going to finish this camp stuff and go pack my bags. I don’t know, I should try to get a hold of Steve I guess!

OK, I’m going to let you get on with your phone calls then. See you at the camp!
