So right now you live in Odense: tell me about the summer house.
I bought it. Yep, I bought it with my first payment from C1RCA. Small summer house, I go back and forth to it when I’m not travelling.

How did your sponsorship story start?
At a tiny little park at home. The guy who ran it had a shop, then after about 6 months there was a contest that they wanted to pay for me to go to. It was the Copenhagen Open, something like that. So I skated it, the Danish C1RCA distribution guy talked to me, put me on that day. Then when it was all done, I met the Alis guys- I was chilling with Foppa there. Simon (Weyhe) and Mischa (Zwaan) were there, so I talked to those dudes and he asked me if I ever rode an Alis board, I said no so he sent me one, we went out skating, it went from there.

How was it living in the Alis apartment?
It was cool. Super nice. We were a tight team- still are. We still get together. We’re still a crew, somehow.

You went to visit Petr Horvat?
In Prague, yeah. Went to the Mystic Cup. It’s the best. The best. It’s cheap, good parties, and the girls are super good. That main spot is good, too.

What is the situation with Alis? Are you getting a board with them?
Yeah, they want to make my board. I’ve been trying to do a painting for the graphic.

You’ve been painting for quite a long time, you said- dabbled in graffiti?
I used to paint a lot when I was a kid, a lot. I almost stopped skating for a while when I was 12, just painting. Then I found out how sketchy it was. I was in a tunnel with two friends, and we were basically done with the piece. I was standing off to the left when I spotted a police man. As he grabbed the other two I took off down the tunnel. The other policeman was at the other end waiting. I made to slow down, then took off as fast as I could.

He didn’t catch you?
He didn’t catch me. I was so lucky. They had to pay some huge fine. I got busted a few times. Not by police, just by people grabbing me where I had to tear myself away and run for it. So that kind of scared me off. So I stopped.

Was it all bombing or do you paint with brushes?
No, I paint at home a lot.
