Steve. Where am I calling you?
Oh, right now I’m walking around Bilbao, I guess.

What are you doing in Bilbao?
Trying to skate!

Trying? Is it that hard?
It’s just a shitty day, the weather isn’t that good. So we’ve just been driving around to see if there’s something we could skate when the weather gets better.

Who are you with?
It’s just Antton (Miettinen), Javier (Mendizabal) and Arto (Saari) and me.

Is there any specific reason for that particular line up and Bilbao?
Nah, we were all just hanging around in Barcelona before and then we decided to drive up here for a few days because Javier knows a bunch of spots and we felt like we had to get out of Barcelona for a bit.

And has it been worth it?
Well we only got here yesterday, so I mean today is kind of the first proper day and the weather’s a bit iffy, but we skated the park so that was cool. We’ll probably drive back Sunday or Monday, something like that. We’re staying at Javier’s parents’ house.

Didn’t you have some plans involving Andalusia and mopeds after that?
Yea, we’re going down to the south of Spain in the beginning of April with Antiz. We’re just gonna have these 125cc scooters, two guys on each scooter, drive them on the country roads trying to find something to skate.

Are you driving the scooters down from Barcelona?
No, just rent them in Sevilla, I guess. They’re only 125 so we can’t really go all the way from Barcelona.

Are you used to riding one?
Oh yeah, I always had like motorcycles or mopeds when I was still living in Lyon, so yeah, I’m used to the things.

I ran into Tuukka Korhonen lately and he mentioned he might rent a room at your house in Barcelona…
Yeah, well, not really a room, I told him he could stay at my house. We’re kind of looking after this house of a friend of mine, who’s working in Austria until the summer. We call it the Gypsy Camp, cause it’s just a bunch of mattresses everywhere. So I told Tuukka he could stay for a while if he wanted to.

Did he show up?
Well he showed up to Barca, but I wasn’t there!

That’s unfortunate for him then.
Yeah, I mean he was staying at some friend’s house for now so I told him if he ended up on the street he’d always be welcome to my place.

Right then. Well hey, good luck with the weather and finding spots. Say hi to the gang for me!
Alright man, take care.
