This Summer, an eclectic and somewhat random group of skateboarders set of on one epic journey. Starting off in Moscow the gang proceeded to Travel 10,000 kilometers by train, all the way to Hong Kong.
The Mastermind behind the whole trip was Independent film maker / man of the world Patrik Wallner (Translations, 2009). He assembled an oddball crew from all over Europe and Russia consisting of John Tanner, Dan Cates, Michael Mackrodt, Laurence Keefe, Danny Hochman, Dan Zvereff and a few others. The 2 month trip, involving traveling for up to 31 hours at a time by train, took the crew to Moscow, Yekateringburg, Omsk, Krasnoyarsk, Irikutsk, Ulaanbaatar, Beijing, Xi’an, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Hong Kong.
With the trip all over and done with, Patrik is busy at work editing down what I can only imagine to be an absolute shed load of footage, with a full length documentary featuring loads of hot street skating at the most amazing looking spots, due out early 2010
